I have been creating art since I could hold a crayon and “art time” was my favorite subject throughout Elementary school and beyond. I was lucky enough to have an art teacher in high school as a mentor, who pushed me towards a career in the arts. I completed my BFA at UC Berkeley in 2002 and happened upon a job teaching art to children, which I immediately fell in love with! Aside from exhibiting my own work since the 80’s, I have made a full-time career in teaching and passing down my passion for the arts to my students alongside my wonderful business partner, Jean. We are so proud of our teachers and what we’ve all accomplished together in our “Hidden Talent” journey. It is incredibly rewarding to watch our students take what they’ve learned from us, and create works of art they are excited to show off! Personally, I am inspired by life around me, from nature, fashion, music, traveling, and viewing my fellow artists’ work. As a mom, I love sharing my passion for art with my daughter and watching her explore, learn and express herself artistically.
