Etiquette for our class:

We want everyone to have a great online experience. Everyone will be muted throughout the class for optimal audio, unless the teacher asks a specific question to the class. We want to inspire, get creative, and have fun while your children draw with us online! If hopping on late to class, please keep yourself muted and try to catch-up/follow as best as you can. If not possible, we will make other arrangements. Thank you!

Materials Needed :

We use 8.5″x11″ or 9×12″ paper. I use small canvases (suggested sizes on list) as acrylics typically take longer than other media. Michael’s Art Store is a great place to find items you don’t already have at home. Email us if you would like brand suggestions or questions.

Week 1) Pencil, thin black Sharpie, watercolors, cup of water, paper towel, round watercolor brush(es) size 6 (size 4 and 8 optional).
Week 2) Chalk Pastels, any color of Drawing or Construction Paper, Blending Stump, damp paper towel to clean fingers.
Week 3) Charcoal Pencil, eraser, blending stump (or Q-tip) on white paper (pencil can be used as substitute for charcoal pencil).
Week 4) Oil Pastels on any color of paper.
Week 5) Acrylic painting of landscape scene, part 1( image TBD-feedback welcome!), Acrylic paint: True shade of each: Red, Yellow, Blue, Turquoise, White, Black, Brown (optional as I teach how to make brown). Small canvas size 8×8″ or 8×10″, cup of water, paper towel or rag, plastic to cover work space as acrylic is messy and stains fabrics.
Week 6) Acrylic painting of landscape scene, part 2: completing painting, Materials same as week 5
Week 7) Chalk Pastels, any color of Drawing or Construction Paper, Blending Stump, damp paper towel to clean fingers. Subject: bird (and maybe bird house) on tree branch with cherry blossoms.
