Etiquette for our class:

We want everyone to have a great online experience. Everyone will be muted throughout the class for optimal audio, unless the teacher asks a specific question to the class. We want to inspire, get creative, and have fun while your children draw with us online!

Materials Needed :

We use 8.5″x11″ or 9×12″ paper. Michael’s Art Store is a great place to find items you don’t already have at home. Email us if you would like brand suggestions.

Week 1) Black permanent marker, watercolors, cup of water, brush, paper towel on watercolor paper or card stock.
Week 2) Acrylic Painting, Part 1: Small Canvas (choose 1 size: 4″x6″, 6×6″, 5″x7″, 8″x10″ or something similar). Acrylic colors: red, yellow, blue, turquoise, white, and black; Acrylic brushes: 1 larger size 8 or 10, medium, size 4, small detail brush; cup for water, paper plate for palette (put about the size of a quarter of each color onto palette, paper towel or rag. Plastic table cloth to protect table. Acrylics can stain, wear apron or old clothes.
Week 3) Acrylic painting, Part 2: continuation of acrylic painting, same materials as Week 2.
Week 4) Chalk Pastels, any color of Pastel/Construction Paper, Blending Stump, damp paper towel to clean fingers.
Week 5) Model Magic: Red, White, blue, and yellow, wax paper to work on, and black marker.
Week 6) Oil Pastels on any color of paper.
Week 7) Permanent Marker and Chalk Pastels on White Paper.
Week 8) Oil Pastels & Watercolor, Brushes, Cup of Water, Paper Towel, Watercolor Paper.
