We want everyone to have a great online experience. Everyone will be muted throughout the class for optimal audio, unless the teacher asks a specific question to the class. We want to inspire, get creative, and have fun while your children draw with us online!
Materials Needed :
We use 8.5″x11″ or 9×12″ paper. Michael’s Art Store is a great place to find items you don’t already have at home. Email us if you would like brand suggestions.
Week 1) Day 1 Acrylic painting of Sunflowers. Acrylic paint colors: Red, Yellow, Blue, Turquoise, Black and White, paper plate for palette or disposable Tear-off wax-paper palettes, cup for water, rag or paper towels, acrylic brushes: Flat #10, Round variety of sizes: small detail brushes and larger size 6 and/or 8. Canvas size 9″x12″. Plastic to cover work space as Acrylic is messy and can stain; Recommend apron or older clothes that can get messy. Van Gogh-inspired.
Week 2) Day 2 Acrylic painting of Sunflowers. Same materials as Day 1.
Week 3) Day 3 Acrylic painting of Sunflowers (if needed). Same materials as Day 1 and 2.
Week 4) Black ink/watercolor Goldfish in Bowl painting. Black ink (Chinese or India), thin round brush size 2 or smaller; watercolors, cup of water, watercolor brushes, watercolor paper size 9×12″, paper towels or rag. Goldfish in bowl, Matisse-inspired.
Week 5) Ballerina in oil pastels on any color of paper. Can use pastel paper, construction, watercolor or drawing paper. Degas-Inspired.
Week 6) Ballerina part 2 (if needed). Oil pastels.
Week 7) Acrylic painting of lake/bridge/lily pads/boat/landscape, Monet-inspired Day 1. Canvas size 8×10″ or 9×12″. Same acrylic materials as week 1.
Week 8) Acrylic painting, Day 2. Same materials listed for week 1.
Week 9) Acrylic painting, Day 3. ” ” “
Week 10) Watercolor painting of red poppies or mountain landscape, O’Keefe-inspired. Watercolors, brushes, cup of water, watercolor paper, paper towels or rag.
